About Hoylake School of Dance

The School & Syllabi

The school opened on 18th March 1996. The syllabi used for dance are by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), & International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). For Drama we use the LAMDA syllabus (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts) for poetry and acting examinations. We also offer LAMDA Musical Theatre Exams for senior pupils. We are proud to offer a high standard of tuition at a reasonable cost.

Venue

All our classes are held at our new state of the art studios, Studio 1 Hundred, 100 Market Street, Hoylake CH47 3BD. The building houses 6 dance studios 5 of which have fully sprung Harlequin dance floors as well as a café, waiting area for parents and girls and boys changing rooms and locker facilities. We have our own car park to the rear of the building.

Uniform

There is a uniform for all dance classes. All shoes and dancewear can be purchased from us or any good dance shop including Cain's of Heswall. We hold some stock and if it's not in stock most items can be ordered in fairly quickly. All orders placed on the dance wear order forms available from the waiting area. School T-Shirts,  Sweatshirts and Hoodies,  Trousers and bags are also available throughout the year. 2nd hand items list on the notice board.

Fees

Are collected termly, for bills over £100 per term, half termly payments are also available, please email the office for further details. New pupils are given a fees envelope at their 1st class and this is due at their 2nd class if the pupil is continuing with lessons. Classes are charged per class but as pupils get older and take on more subjects and classes there are discounts available as we have a capped fees policy on core subjects for children taking 5 or more classes per week. This policy also entitles you to discounts on other specialist classes.
